Jack + Annie
When Jack's mom contacted me about photographing her son's wedding on Easter I was so excited because I had JUST decided I was going to start offering to do more weddings again. But, I really want to do more "backyard", more intimate weddings. I love when the universe shows up in that way and confirms a feeling you have. Usually it doesn't happen quite so quickly!!! But I was truly so excited that now I had TWO small weddings on my calendar for April!!.
And the wedding day was so lovely. The weather, the people, the easy love and deep connection that was so obvious between Jack and Annie. It was such sweet energy to be around that day.
I loved how it was so easy to see what was important to them. The beautiful tribute to loved ones no longer with us, the incorporation of their pets into the details of the day, the tears that were flowing from everyone there, and of course Jack's Jersey Mike's sandwich. :) The older I get, and the more I unlearn about what I thought I knew, the more I appreciate the people in this world who truly know who they are and show up fully as themselves. And the truth is, that is where the deepest love is accessible because we can't fully love or be loved if we aren't showing our full selves. I felt this with Jack and Annie.
Before I left, we discovered that we are actually neighbors!!! Which made me even happier. I haven't seen them out on a walk yet, but I know I will and I can't wait to meet their pup too.
Thank you Jack & Annie for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful day!
