How do I book a shoot?

I don't love talking on the phone. Happy to when it is needed though. Texting is fine, but I can't always respond right away, and sometimes texts (or instagram messages get forgotten). So, email is my preferred form of communication.

Do you travel?
Yep! My shoot rates cover all shoots within 30 miles of Sherwood, OR. Anything beyond that will be charged an additional $0.50 per mile.
What is your typical turnaround timeline?
You can expect to receive your album, with all your final images, 1-4 weeks from the date of your shoot. Turnaround time is very dependent on the time of year your shoot takes place. Summer and Fall are the busiest times and tend to get more backed up.
What payment methods are available?
Cash, check, Venmo, PayPal, Zelle
Where will we shoot?
I work entirely on location and do not have a studio. I love doing in home sessions as well as outdoor shoots. I am happy to suggest some of my favorite locations. Just ask!
Renting a space is always an option for an additional charge.
What should we wear?
I suggest avoiding super bright colors and graphics, but otherwise, be yourself and wear what makes you feel good! I want you to look like you, on your very best day!
Layers photograph well. Denim is always great, and clothing with a little movement can add a fun element too. Wearing clothing you can move comfortably in will make a variety of poses easier too.
For families, I recommend choosing one color and everyone can incorporate different shades, or have one person in a pattern and others can choose one color from that.
What if my kids won't sit still and smile?
I prefer to let the kids lead the way. The more you can take a breath and let your kids just be themselves the better it will go for everyone! I promise.
I have been taking family photos for 20+ years and in my experience, the more fun your kids have, the more you will love your photos.
I want you to remember the time we spent creating the photos when you look at them. Not to see the perfect smiles on everyone's faces, but to see the real laughter and connection that was felt in the moment. Not just for your Holiday card, but for YOU to hold onto, forever.
If you are expecting your kids to sit still, say cheese, and not laugh at my slightly inappropriate jokes, I am probably not the photographer for you. :)
